What's Genocide Gotta Do with People Pleasing?

What is people pleasing?

The fear of taking up space.

Fear of authenticity.

Suppressing your feelings and needs because it's not safe to do so.

So, what's this gotta do with genocide?

It's the energy of war.

In a war paradigm, there isn't space for feelings & needs.

It's hierarchical.

Where those who dominate suppress others.

You likely didn't grow up in a war zone— yet you're seeped in war culture nonetheless.

Did you have to walk around eggshells because your dad would blow up from zero to a hundred?

That's war culture.

Or would you mom assert dominance by shaming and judging you?

That's war culture.

In a paradigm of peace & pleasure, expressing your feelings & needs is not only safe, but connecting.

It's celebrated and encouraged.

Because people aren't trying to dominate you.

They want to genuinely care for you.

Not try to own you through your submission.

It's no wonder setting boundaries can feel so challenging when you're living in a war paradigm.
